BeatLoaf has returned from the kitchen once again, this time with a couple of delicious electro jack dishes that will leave the taste buds ablaze! His Vyjack EP starts out with ‘Gate Dancer’ which can only be described as smoke and lasers transcribed into audio form. The title track ‘Vyack’ follows it up with a longer mix and a deep vocal sample calling ‘everybody’ to the dance floor.

John Joseph is the founder and purveyor of the PITS label from Detroit, Michigan. His latest EP, Get Vicious, is an exploration of genres in electronic music ranging from acid, to techno, to electro. Over the past two years, he has soaked up a massive amount of material coming from within the city and it has translated into a diversity of releases. These four tracks are focused on the dance floor, as well as sharing a snapshot in time. During a period of great change for Detroit, it is this music that has been consistent in bringing people together. And here, John captures the feeling of moving your body and being ‘vicious’ in expressing yourself. It is an invitation to let go of outer judgements, and truly be free. Jorissen has a knack for finding the deep grooves that make your body want to move even into the wee hours of the morning. The mix he has provided for our seventh featured podcast certainly reinforces this with smooth selections of minimal tech and house. He has been keeping busy recently between playing with our previously featured group, House Coffee Detroit, as well as a newer collaboration Lobos with Loren, Andrew Barren, and Mathias.
